You're In My Thoughts, You're In my Blood...

I've been wanting to write a Music & Entertainment blog for ages and today I'm finally doing it. So it's bitter sweet that my first entry is somewhat of a "fair well, love letter" that this blog name is based on.

When I first discovered Thursday back in the simpler time that was 2001, I felt instantly connected. These guys where angry and sad yet melodic and hopeful all at the same time. The songs where personal and full of emotional and yeah they where lumped in with all the other "Emo" bands that popped up around then.

But they stood the test of time, gathering new fans and holding fast to the already loyal fans that where there from the beginning. So when I heard an indefinite hiatus was coming at the end of this current tour I was heartsick.

I've spent almost my entire 20's with Thursday. I was even at the show in Baltimore on Geoff's 30th birthday, which marked HIS spending his entire 20's with the band! They've been through thick and thin and made some amazing, thought provoking music. This chapter in life is ending for them, and myself, I can only hope the inspirational forces will find them all again. Untill then, I'll keep the Thursday candle lit.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart and lots of love go to you Geoff & Tom & Tucker & Steve & Andrew & Tim & Lukas.

Here are a few music videos from the past 10+ years. Song that have said what I couldn't put into words. It's just the beginning of what has been a fabulous catalog. Enjoy!

We'll all look the same someday
And even now the robot starts to think
I wonder what it dreams
The Tide is high on Fourtheeth Street
The rain comes in to clear the heat
The way in is the same way out
the way up is the same way down
Now there is no safe way down
